Woman nowadays prefer waxing (than Shaving) because :

• The ultimate smoother sensation
• Safer (no incidental cuts)
• More efficient (prolongs the time until hairs grow back)
• Hair grows back finer
• Remove dead skin
• Lighter skin tone
• Eventually stops the hair growth entirely

Absolutely not.

Waxing does not cause you to grow more hair follicles. In fact, if you become a regular waxer, you will notice that your hair will become quite sparse and not as coarse.

When hair is shaved, it is cut off at the thick part of the hair, which is why you can feel stubble the next day. A property waxed hair is removed from the root, and when the hair starts to grow back it is a new hair, very fine at the tip so no stubble.

The only things known to stimulate hair growth are hormones : natural or artificial.

There are two types of wax that are used for in-salon depilation :

1. Soft wax, a.k.a. strip wax, is applied thinly to the skin with a depilator/ roller. A rectangular cloth (read : woven strip) is pressed onto the wax and then swiftly removed, taking both wax and hair with it. Strip waxing is an effective way of covering large areas of skin quickly, making it popular for use on legs and arms.
2. Hard wax a.k.a hot wax, which is applied more thickly to the skin with a spatula, no woven strips are needed when using hard wax. Hard wax is usually preferred for sensitive areas because it is less painful and can minimize bruises and scar.

Also know as the Hollywood Waxing or the Playboy Waxing. Brazilian Waxing removes all hair from your pubic area as painlessly as possible. You may choose to have everything taken off, or to leave a shape on the front. Most people choose a stripor a triangle. When we say ALL hair, we mean every last strand from front to back.

With the right technique, we promise to ensure you have the least discomfort & pain during the process. Rest assured that our therapists are well-trained to worrk fast and professional. However, based on our experience, the first-time is usually the most inconvenient for new patrons (it will get much better the second or third time, trust me!). Probably because new patrons are more nervous.

Bottom line is, it is really not as bad as you imagine. If we can describe the level of pain, it will be more like surprising jolts rather than actual pain.

Nevertheless, we have provided “Numbing Spray” ready for use prior to waxing. The numbing spray is safe for sensitive areas and will temporarily numbs the surface of the skin. It contains Lidocaine, it takes the sting out of waxing while also sooth the skin with its aromatic blend (product of USA).

We use both soft and hard wax by Lycon (improrted from Australia). We have tried experimenting with a lot of big brands of waxes available and finally settled down on Lycon wax due to its texture and quality. Lycon has won many awards and is Australia salon’s #1 favourite wax.

We will wax clients of any age, but if you are younger than 18 we do require a parent to accompany you to sign our waxing consent form. The only service that you must be 18 years of age or older is for the Brazilian wax.

We cannot wax you if you fall under any of the following categories :

• You just had an IPL (laser) on the same area within the last 6 months
• You are under medication of Retin-A or Roaccutane or any similiar skin medication that usually makes your skin really dry
• You have sunburn or cuts or wound on the same area

Note :
We suggest to avoid waxing 3 days prior, during, and 3 days after your period since your skin is usually more sensitive during that times.
